What I do:

Fine art and architectural mosaic – using glass, porcelain, tile, stone … or other unique tesserae, to bring works of  beauty and meaning to homes and public spaces.

Why:

Because mosaic is an ancient art that persists into our modern world. Mosaic has a physical presence, in addition to the typical considerations of design and color. The kinesthetic pleasure of cutting and arranging pieces is conveyed in the work itself, and the new owner can also enjoy putting one’s hands on the work (carefully of course!).

How:

I compose a new whole from brokenness, sometimes carefully cutting the tesserae, sometimes arranging already shattered pieces.
